Commpete supports the ACCC proposal for a “first principles” review of the SAU and being open to revisiting the existing arrangements and prior decisions. The present opportunity for major reform to the SAU must be embraced by all stakeholders and used to set up more suitable regulation of NBN Co.

Submission in response to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s consultation paper on Division 12 and Internet Activity Record Keeping Rule (RKR) review 3 July 2020

In this submission we have not sought to address all of the questions and issues raised in the ACCC’s consultation paper. Instead we respond only to question 1 and only in relation to the proposed changes to the RKR that relate to the collection of information about mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).
